So I have been playing this game for a couple of weeks now and figured I would write something up since I kept seeing the same questions pop up everywhere. People want to know if it’s actually good or just pretty screenshots.
Fair question. Most mobile games that look this nice in trailers end up being auto-play garbage with a cash shop bolted on.

You put together a team of four and then the game just drops you into Britannia and says go figure it out. The world is actually open. Like you see a cliff and you can climb it. There's a lake and you swim across.
You can glide from high places, ride a horse, sail a boat between islands. It feels less restricted than I expected. The characters all have these little exploration tricks too. Diane picks up boulders blocking your way.
King floats up to hit switches that are too high. So who you bring with you actually matters outside of fights, which is a nice touch. Combat is real time. You control one guy, the AI handles the other three, and you swap between them constantly.
The swap button is basically your best friend. You time it right and you dodge attacks, extend combos, trigger elemental stuff. There's a whole rock paper scissors thing with elements that becomes pretty important later on.
Under all that is the gacha machine. You earn currency by doing quests, dailies, finding chests, events. Spend it on banners to pull heroes and weapons. Then you farm dungeons and bosses for upgrade materials.
Same loop as every other gacha, the difference is the gameplay between all that menu stuff is actually fun.
