ZArchiver Pro is a mobile app file manager that makes it easy to compress and decompress archives. Developed by ZDevs, this utility tool is a free and highly customizable Pro version of ZArchiver. It offers all the features of the free version and provides additional functionality. The software is designed to allow users to support the ZArchiver project while receiving additional features in return.
What is the purpose of ZArchiver?
ZArchiver is a free archive management program that can compress, decompress or “unzip” files. It can generate multiple file archive formats, such as 7ZIP, ZIP, BZ2, GZ, XZ, LZ4, TAR and ZSTD. Conversely, you can unzip them, such as RAR, ISO and WIM. It also can generate and open password-protected files, multipart archives, email client files and split archives.
There is not much difference when comparing this file to ZArchiver Pro as the latter is a paid version designed to help with development. You still get the unique features of the free version, such as multithreading and UTF-8/UTF-16 compatibility, which allows you to use national symbols in file names. Premium features such as bright and dark themes, password storage, picture previews and in-store file editing are available.

ZArchiver lets you:
- create the following archive types: 7z (7zip), zip, bzip2 (bz2), gzip (gz), XZ, lz4, tar, zst (zstd);
- decompress the following archive types: 7z (7zip), zip, rar, rar5, bzip2, gzip, XZ, iso, tar, arj, cab, lzh, lha, lzma, xar, tgz, tbz, Z, deb, rpm, zipx, mtz, chm, dmg, cpio, cramfs, img (fat, ntfs, ubf), wim, ecm, lzip, zst (zstd), egg, alz;
- view archive contents: 7z (7zip), zip, rar, rar5, bzip2, gzip, XZ, iso, tar, arj, cab, lzh, lha, lzma, xar, tgz, tbz, Z, deb, rpm, zipx, mtz, chm, dmg, cpio, cramfs, img (fat, ntfs, ubf), wim, ecm, lzip, zst (zstd), egg, alz;
- create and decompress password-protected archives;
- edit archives: add/remove files to/from the archive (zip, 7zip, tar, apk, mt);
- create and decompress multi-part archives: 7z, rar (decompress only);
- install APK and OBB files from backup (archive);
- partial archive decompression;
- open compressed files;
- open an archive file from the Mail application;
- extract split archives: 7z, zip and rar (7z.001, zip.001, part1.rar, z01);
Special properties:
- starting from Android 9 for small files. If possible, use direct opening without extracting to a temporary folder.
- multithreading support (useful for multicore processors)
- UTF-8/UTF-16 support for file names allows you to use national symbols in file names.
